It cost me $45 to get the flywheel resurfaced at NAPA for a Mazda3. My conclusion then, is that if you're on a budget resurfacing is fine. Both the clutches I replaced were slipping horribly, and yet both flywheels were repairable. You should be fine not getting a new one. If it was $75, I'd definitely get a new one.
