Few buildings in Miami are even on fiber. Oh they sell you whatever claim you’ll buy. But you’re not getting better than 100mb average unless you buy true fiber T1 or T3 or Ethernet direct ($1k+ a month). I live in a major city so I get access to Xfinity and Verizon Fios gig options but strangely no AT&T fiber. By default, comcast has a cap. The non promo pricing for the gig plan for comcast was around $110 the last time I have had them. Add $25/mo to that to get rid of the cap. $135 total. I pay less than $81/mo for the ATT Gigabit fiber plan. Non promo price.I had Comcast before. Comcast was fine but the gigabit fiber is way more consistent. If I had a choice I’d go fiber over cable anytime. AT&T may own the lines but the support on the backend is the most important part. A lot of the fiber is owned by AT&T but I'd never use them for just having piss poor support even at the business level..
